Pep Guardiola Eyes New Managerial Role

Former Manchester City manager, Pep Guardiola, has met with the Italian Football Federation, FIGC.

The FIGC are trying to convince Guardiola to take over as the national team head coach, according to Sky Italia.

FIGC technical director Paolo Maldini and advisor Leonardo travelled to Barcelona to hold talks with the Spaniard.

It remains to be seen if Pep Guardiola is interested in the job, or making a swift return to management.

Roberto Mancini and Andrea Pirlo are the other candidates under consideration.

Gennaro Gattuso left the role after Italy failed to qualify for a third consecutive World Cup.
