Drake Head Coach Darrin McBroom spoke highly of Barnes, emphasizing her accomplished background in Division I volleyball and her exceptional communication skills. “She has an accomplished background in Division I volleyball, having played at Loyola Chicago for five seasons… Addison demonstrated exceptional communication skills.
That is important in the role she will serve, and I think it will allow her to be excellent at building rapport with our student-athletes and recruits. We got a good one, and I look forward to seeing how Addison influences our program and accentuates our staff,” McBroom commented.
Barnes joins the Bulldogs at an exciting time, as the team has recently earned back-to-back MVC runner-up finishes. The Bulldogs finished the most recent season with a commendable record of 24-11 overall and 14-4 in the Missouri Valley Conference.
