Under Elliott’s coaching, the Longhorns have soared to new heights, capturing three national titles in 2012, 2022, and 2023.
His impact on the program extends beyond the championship wins, with Texas making semi-final appearances in eight of the last 12 seasons. This remarkable achievement solidifies Elliott’s status among the elite coaches in collegiate volleyball.

Announcing the extension, Texas athletic director Chris Del Conte praised Elliott’s exceptional leadership and the excellent success of his teams.
Del Conte emphasized Elliott’s pivotal role in elevating the program to the highest echelons of college volleyball, highlighting his influence both on and off the court.
Elliott’s tenure at Texas has been marked by outstanding performance, boasting a remarkable 639-126 overall record and a winning percentage of.835, placing him sixth on the all-time list for Division I volleyball coaches.
The Longhorns’ consistency under his coaching is unparalleled, with 18 consecutive seasons ending in top-10 rankings and 18 consecutive appearances in the regional semifinals, the longest active streak in the nation.
Reflecting on the contract extension, Elliott expressed gratitude for the support from Texas Athletics and reaffirmed his commitment to the program’s success.
He credited his dedicated staff and the talented athletes for their contributions to Texas volleyball’s legacy, emphasizing his excitement for the continued pursuit of championships and the growth of the sport.

Elliott’s previous contract was through 2025, and he was earning $557,500 per year, according to university documents.
