Omaha, NE After 16 successful years playing volleyball internationally, former Husker All-American outside hitter Jordan Larson is returning to her home state to continue her professional career.
Joining the LOVB Pro League’s Omaha team.
Larson is set to join League One Volleyball’s (LOVB) pro league as a founding athlete and the anchor for the Omaha team.
“I’m just loving the momentum there is around women’s volleyball, especially in the States and just worldwide,”
“I really fell in love with LOVB’s mission statement and what they’re striving to do.”

What is LOVB
LOVB, pronounced “LOVE,” is a volleyball community that starts at the youth level and extends to the pro level.

Where is Jordan Larson now
Jordan, currently the captain of the USA volleyball team, is in California getting ready for the 2024 Paris Olympics. In the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, she led the United States to a gold medal.
“I think back to when I was a kid and I was like, ‘Oh yeah, I want to play pro,’ but I didn’t know what that looked like,” She said. “It was like, ‘Oh, you have to go overseas?’ And ‘you have to be away from your family and friends for an extended period of time?’ And now it’s like, ‘Oh, you get to be like home, and people actually get to come watch you and know you.” Still playing at the top level, the Hooper, Nebraska, native is excited to play in front of her hometown crowd.
She will return to Lincoln after the Summer Olympics and will also join Nebraska volleyball head coach John Cook as an assistant coach for the Huskers for the upcoming season.

“Being a part of the Husker [volleyball] program is just—it flexes this giving back muscle for me of just how I can continue to help where I can and also show the girls at Nebraska that, hey, you can do anything you want as long as you put your mind to it if you give it with all your heart,” Larson expressed.
LOVB Pro Season Inauguration
LOVB’s inaugural pro season is scheduled to kick off in November this year. Larson will be teaming up with fellow former Husker, Justine Wong-Orantes, on the LOVB Omaha team.
