Nebraska’s volleyball team made an impressive return in their spring match against Denver, sweeping the competition with a 3-0 victory.
Lindsay Krause, recovering from injury, showcased her prowess with a standout performance, recording 12 kills and an impressive.417 hitting percentage.
The Huskers’ dominance was on full display at the UNK Health and Sports Center, delighting 5,094 enthusiastic spectators.
The Huskers took control early and never looked back, securing decisive set wins of 25-13, 25-12, and 25-15. Fans eagerly lined up for hours before the match to secure prime spots in the general admission seating area.

Nebraska’s starting lineup featured setter Bergen Reilly, along with outside hitters Lindsay Krause and Skyler Pierce, right-side hitter Merritt Beason, and middle blockers Rebekah Allick and Andi Jackson, with Lexi Rodriguez playing libero.
As the match progressed, Kennedi Orr took over as setter in the third set, while Laney Choboy assumed the libero position.
Nebraska’s offensive efficiency was exceptional, finishing with an impressive.446 hitting percentage.
They also dominated in ace serves, leading Denver with a count of 4-1. Merritt Beason contributed significantly with 10 kills and a.412 hitting percentage, while Andi Jackson recorded seven kills with a.429 hitting percentage. Skyler Pierce, a top-10 national recruit, added 10 kills, showcasing impressive cross-court shots with tight angles.
The Huskers set the tone early in the match, establishing an 11-4 lead in the first set. The team displayed remarkable form, achieving a.478 hitting percentage in the opening set and leading in ace serves with a score of 4-0.
Notably absent from the game was outside hitter Harper Murray, who was suspended following legal issues, including charges of driving under the influence and other offenses.
Murray’s absence did not deter the Huskers from delivering a commanding performance.
