Nigeria Interested in Hosting 2024 U19 Boys and Girls African Beach Volleyball Nations Cup
Nigeria has shown interest in hosting the 2024 U19 Boys and Girls African Beach Volleyball Nations Cup. This was announced by the President of the Nigeria Volleyball Federation, Engineer Musa Nimrod, at the end of the 2024 President Beach Volleyball Cup in Kaduna State over the weekend.

Nimrod expressed satisfaction with the young players’ performance during the President Cup, saying, “I am satisfied with the level of play these players have exhibited; some young girls’ and boys have been very fantastic, and we are likely to host the U19 African Beach Volleyball Nations Cup.”
He also highlighted the Federation’s ability to field different levels of players for various beach volleyball tournaments, stating, “I am happy because the commission has seen players who can key in and represent this country; I am confident we can present players irrespective of where the Nations Cup will take place.”
In addition to the hosting interest, Nimrod revealed the upcoming plans for Nigeria’s beach volleyball teams.
He stated that the Nigerian players would embark on a West African tour before the Beach Volleyball Olympic Qualifiers in June. The players will be called to camp on April 27, 2024, and will tour West Africa in preparation for the qualifiers in Morocco.
Nigeria Beach Volleyball
Nigeria has a strong history in beach volleyball, having won a bronze medal at the African Games in Ghana and consistently finishing second in the last three Olympic qualifiers.
With the impressive performance of the Nigeria women’s team, Nimrod believes the country has a good chance of securing the sole ticket to the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.
