At age 14, she joined the youth team of the Tizhuk club, where she was coached by Julio Cugna, a well-known mentor for young athletes. In 2002, she joined the Minas team in Belo Horizonte, one of Brazil’s top clubs, and won a silver medal in the Brazilian championship that season.

Thaisa Menezes Career Highlights 

Menezes was part of the Brazilian team that won the gold medal at the 2008 Summer Olympics. She earned a silver medal with Sollys Osasco at the 2010 FIVB World Club Championship and was awarded Best Spiker.
