Volleyball Toss: According to the official rules of volleyball, the server can toss the ball only once. After tossing, he must hit the ball.
Why is this important?
Why is this important? Limiting tosses (throws) not only speeds up the game but also eliminates the possibility of cheating.

Basic volleyball toss rules:
- The ball must be tossed only once.
- After the toss, the serve must be completed.
- You cannot return the ball to your hands after it has been thrown.

Additional rules:
- The ball is hit with one hand or any part of the arm after being thrown.
- Only one throw or release of the ball is allowed.
- Dribbling, or moving the ball in your hands, is permitted.
- The server must not touch the court or area outside the service area when making a hit.
- The ball must be kicked within 8 seconds after the referee’s whistle.
- A serve made before the referee’s whistle is not counted and is repeated.
