Piers Morgan Reacts to Portugal’s Win Over Croatia
British broadcaster Piers Morgan praised Portugal captain Cristiano Ronaldo and Croatia skipper Luka Modric after their World Cup Round of 32 clash.
Morgan said he loved the respect between Ronaldo and Modric, adding that the pair are still world-class in their 40s.
The 61-year-old was reacting to Portugal’s 2-1 win against Croatia at Toronto Stadium.
In a tweet on X, Morgan wrote, “Incredible end to a brilliant game. Congrats to @Cristiano and Portugal on a thrilling win, and commiserations to @lukamodric10 and Croatia on a devastating loss.
“Loved the respect between these two football legends, both in their 40s, both still world-class acts.”
Ronaldo and Modric were former teammates during their time together at Real Madrid.
