Esther Okoronkwo scored the winning goal as the Super Falcons defeated Tanzania 2-1 in a friendly encounter in Casablanca on Friday night.
Captain Rasheedat Ajibade gave the African champions the lead in the 14th minute, assisted by Rinsola Babajide.
The Falcons failed to double their advantage despite creating more chances before the interval.
Head coach Justine Madugu refreshed his side at halftime, introducing Folashade Ijamilusi, Uchenna Kanu, Michelle Alozie, and Joy Omewa for Glory Ogbonna, Toni Payne, Rinsola Babajide, and Asisat Oshoala.
Despite the Falcons’ dominance, Tanzania equalised 11 minutes from the time the Falcons scored.
However, a minute later Okoronkwo restored Nigeria’s lead.
The Super Falcons will head to Rabat for the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations on Friday.
The West Africans will begin their title defence against the Scorchers of Malawi at the Al Madina Stadium, Rabat, next Tuesday.
